Meet Jackie
As part of the mechanical design team, Jackie brings real technical aptitude combined that with a positive, calming presence. She is one of our most tenured mechanical designers and is a big part of helping us move forward while not losing sight of the path that got us where we are today. Jackie is continuing to expand her horizons as an engineer by taking on roles with different scope that diversify her value to Benchmark.

What projects are you working on?
The main project I’m currently working on is more on the systems side where I’m supporting the development of a preliminary design for an ASCENT-based propulsion system. I’m getting the opportunity to learn about model-based systems engineering and meeting customer deliverables by aligning requirements and customer expectations to optimized solutions. Prior to this project, most of my experience is in the mechanical design of full systems, subsystems, and components.
What's been a highlight of your career at Benchmark?
One of my personal highlights of working here is getting to see components and assemblies you’ve spent so much time designing in SolidWorks come together in real life. Another broader highlight is reflecting on how far the company has come over the years.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I love spending time outside with my husband and dog, visiting family, and going to breweries. We have been enjoying the snow this winter but are also looking forward to hiking and camping in warmer weather.
